About Chloe
Chloe Mandel is a London-based software engineer by day and an architect of dark, monster-infested worlds by night.
She has always been drawn to places that sit just slightly sideways from reality. What began in childhood as strange, imaginative tales told aloud to her younger brother eventually evolved into much darker territory. Before publishing her debut, Chloe spent years cutting her teeth on RPG forums, writing short stories about the mechanics of interdimensional travel, and penning an entire unreleased season of an animated series. These chaotic sandboxes taught her everything she knows about sharp character voices, ensemble casts, and what makes a group of mismatched strangers worth following into danger.
Outside of her speculative worlds, she plays TTRPGs, gets emotionally attached to story-driven games, plays the accordion, and makes her own clothes. She maintains that the last two are entirely distinct skills, though both require a fundamental willingness to commit to decisions that may later seem unwise. She is currently hard at work on the next instalments in her series.
